The Redstone was a bad rocket from it first flight- it only flight. What happened was we think the engine shot out the back of the rocket, while facing down in the air, causing the parachute not to eject and the rocket to be pushed at a greater speed to the ground. It took a "C" engine and went about 500 feet high. This rocket has sice been restored, and now wors a little bit better.
